The group is made up of twenty youth who perform at weddings, parties and cultural events and started when some community members approached the youth and asked them what their interests are. Interestingly, many replied that they were passionate about traditional music and dance.

“We then got a group together and started practicing. Eventually, they became so good that they began charging to perform at local events,” said Grace Sikaale, group Chairperson. Dammen Law received cultural attire valued at R29 960.00 from the NYDA Thusano Fund.

“We used to charge R300.00 per performance but now that we have the correct cultural gear, we are able to charge R600.00 per appearance. We are saving the money for a CD to be recorded of all our music,” said Grace.
