Motshekga in Limpopo to discuss matric paper leaks

Written by

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga and senior officials from the department are in Limpopo to discuss issues related to the leaking of the Maths question paper.

The question paper leaked at Giyani High School when learners sat for Mathematics Paper 2 two weeks ago. Motshekga and the Hawks have hinted on an imminent arrest of the culprits responsible for the leak.

The Hawk's investigations of fraud and possible corruption are said to be at an advanced stage. So far, a handful of learners from Giyani High School have been co-operating with law enforcement officials. They have given full confessions to having had access to the paper before the exam.  The leak originated in Johannesburg. Motshekga is expected to brief the media following her closed meeting.
