President Jacob Zuma has postponed his trip to Harare, Zimbabwe, until further notice.

The business community of the small town of Alice, in the Eastern Cape, is throwing its weight behind this weekend’s centenary celebration of the University of Fort Hare, an institution that has been part of the town for the past 100 years.

Government is to go all out to mark the centenary celebrations of the University of Fort Hare this coming Friday, with high-level speeches expected from leaders such as Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and President Jacob Zuma.
