
Educational requirements:
- Bachelor of Accounting Science degree
- Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree
- Once you have completed your degree you will be required to complete a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) or a Higher Diploma in Accountancy (HDipAcc). This course focuses on Financial Accounting, Auditing, Taxation and Management Accounting and Finance. The course takes a minimum of one year and must be completed at a SAICA accredited university.
Job description:
Summarising current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports. Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.

- Gathering information from departments and producing a financial report to help with business planning
- Preparing budget and financial forecast
- Computing taxes and preparing tax returns, balance sheet, profit or profit loss
